Yackandandah, a charming eclectic tourist town, with heritage listed buildings, founded during the 1860's gold rush. Nestle in a gorgeous valley, Yackandandah remains a jewel of North East Victoria.
Steeped in the legacy of gold, this prettiest of villages is home to many acclaimed artists from potters to painters, sculptures to stitchers. Wander these streets and discover unique artworks, crafts, music and antiques.
Walks and cycling is a feature of Yackandandah, follow the pristine Yackandandah Creek, enjoy the bird life, and inspect many areas of historic gold mining endeavours. Yackandandah is part of the Backtracks MTB trail network, the Murray to Mountain Rail Trail and 24km to the High Country Rail Trail.
